Patent Search

On the patent search page, you can explore patents relevant to your application from USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office).

Conducting Your Search:

1. Enter your keywords in the designated field.

2. Specify the field for the search (e.g., title, claims, abstract).

Adding Search Criteria:

To refine your search, you can add additional criteria:

  • Click the plus button to add a new criterion.
  • Choose the operator (AND/OR) to combine keywords.
  • Input additional keywords for the new criterion.
  • Select the field where you want to search for these keywords.

**Example:** Search for certain keywords in the 'claims' section. 'OR' other keywords in the 'abstracts' section of USPTO.

Managing Search Criteria:

You can add as many criteria as needed, but keep in mind that more criteria might result in fewer search results.

Use the delete icon to remove any search criterion you no longer need.

Searching and Viewing Results:

Click on "Search Patents" to initiate the search based on your criteria on USPTO. The matching patents will be displayed in a table below.

  • Click on a patent title to access its abstract and claims.
  • Click the preview button to view the first page of the document.
  • Download patents as PDFs by clicking the PDF icon.
  • Analyze a specific patent using our AI chat tool by clicking the analysis icon. Ask for any information you want to know about the document and our AI will do its best to assist you.

Managing Saved Results:

Finally, you can remove documents you don't want to include in the prior arts section of your final application by clicking the delete icon next to the document and confirming with "yes delete"

Upon completing your search, you'll be prompted to save your results. You can choose to save them now or continue searching and save later.

When you're ready to finalize your search, click "save as final" to preserve the selected patents for use in the prior arts section of your final application.
